This is a friendly city pub with a lively evening atmosphere at weekends. It enjoys a good mix of locals, students and visitors to the city. The live bands on Fridays make this one of the most popular venues for music in the city. NO REAL ALE AUGUST 2018 - PROBLEMS WITH LINES. May be reinstated at some stage.

Sporadically open - Jan 2022.

Reopened fully after refurbishment March 2024 - real ale introduced April 2024.
