A busy family-run village inn with a good reputation for food. It has a bar with a real fire, a lounge and a large restaurant at the back. The pub is opposite the remains of Forsters Brewery which closed in 1913 and it may well have been the tap house. The village has a series of walks exploring beautiful countryside and the remains of Bishop Middleham Castle.
