The licencees of this traditional village free house are a local family who support and are well supported by the local community. Dating from the 1850s, but recently re-furbished and re-decorated, the bar has drinking and dining areas on either side. A welcoming pub, its rural situation makes it popular with walkers and cyclists. Good pub food is served and there are quiz nights and occasional live music. A steam vehicle festival in April is one of various events held. The changing beers are from the local breweries listed below on a rotational basis.
