Active Campaign

A community group ‘Save the Oddfellows Pub’ (STOP) has registered, Higham Community Benefit Society Limited, and organised a share scheme to purchase the pub. They got a £156k Community Ownership Fund grant in 2023 (see article). They have inspected the building to assess its condition, update the valuation, prepare an offer to the owner, Cartwrights, to support more detailed negotiations.
