Looking the epitome of a North Yorkshire village pub, built in stone with ivy clad walls, it's a popular dining pub as well as a village local. Internally it has old pub décor, with plates, pictures and brassware on the walls, stone flags form the floor with a few strategically placed rugs. Furnishing too is traditional benches and settles with tables and chairs. The room is U-shaped with the bar counter in the open end, this has two serving faces as a vestigial wall divides the two parts. One end is devoted more to dining and the right hand end serves as a public bar. Home cooked meals are served all day starting with breakfast from 9am. Takeaway meals are available at weekends - see website for details.
