This is a friendly local situated in the town centre; a very traditional old-fashioned pub where you're encouraged to sit and chat. No food is served other than local pies (from a heated cabinet behind the bar), pickled eggs, crisps and nuts. Three hand pumps serve a changing range of beers from the Trust Inns list. A new landlord took over in September 2025.
