This Pub is Permanently Closed

A Matthew brown pub closed in 1981 and demolished. Flats now stand on the site.

Early records suggest this was once known as the Jutland Street Tavern, but this had been shortened to the Jutland by the time our photo was taken. Again the brickwork had been painted, with the typical MB lettering and the massive red Lion logo on the upper floor denoting the brewery.
