Friendly two-roomed split-level local in a beautiful wooded valley popular with walkers and cyclists. On entering, the cosy bar, with a real fire in winter, is to the right while the larger dining room is to the left. Food is served Wednesday to Sunday, telephone to check times. Guests ales are mainly from Yorkshire, such as Abbeydale and Ilkley. Oakham also makes regular appearances. Real cider is sometimes available.
