Grade II listed with fine wood panelling from 1928 and splendid exterior with green and cream Burmantofts tiling, this is a traditional city centre local pub. The bowing courtier logo can be seen in the leaded window panes from when it was a Melbourne Brewery pub. The cask beers are mainly from Yorkshire with one or two from the Greene King stable. The landlord and many staff have served at the pub for over thirty years. On Sunday evenings there is a DJ playing a wide selection of music. Discounted cask beer (pint only) on Mondays. Cask collector card available (buy 5, get 6th free). Under 18s are not allowed.
