Acquired by Timothy Taylor in 2003, this pub, which is next to the village cricket ground, has good views of the surrounding countiyside, including down the Luddenden Valley and towards Calderdale and Stoodley Pike. Inside, there's a separate dining section, although many people eat in the bar area. Although orientated towards food, drinkers are always made welcome. The pub is an excellent base for walkers and tourists who want to explore the area, as there are seven rooms available.
