This rural pub, in a popular walking area with splendid views, probably dates from the Crimean War (1854-1856), as suggested by its name. Despite a new extension containing a fifty-seat restaurant, function room and guest rooms, the original pub is intact: it's a friendly community pub, with flagstone floors and a real fire. The drinking area is divided in two, the smaller part probably the original tap room.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
