In a former charity shop, Syston's first micropub originally opened on 20 December 2018. It has a 1950s pharmacy theme, including many medical artefacts, equipment and adverts; and a friendly skeleton (Cedric) sitting on a dentist chair! March 2019 saw the opening of an upstairs seating area with a 1950s movie theme, and there is seating for about 70 people. There is also a Board Room and Kitchen, this area is available for private hire but does not have a separate bar. Apart from a varying selection of real ales, it has up to 6 'craft kegs'. Two or more local guest real ales are normally available. No meals, but cheese cobs, Samosas and other snacks are available. Leicester CAMRA Pub of the Month October 2019.
