This Club is Closed Long Term
This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
In April 2023, closure of the club was announced on their Facebook page.
This large club is situated beyond the edge of Leicester’s boundary, just within Braunstone Town. To the left of the foyer is a large Function Room; to the right is the Cabaret Bar, behind which is the Lounge Bar. Two Games Room are to be found towards the rear of the club. Braunstone & District WMC is said to be one of the most popular Rock 'n' Roll venues in the Midlands, and the club has a huge sprung wooden dance floor, where they Rock & Roll every Tuesday evening.
Historic Interest
The club originally formed in a council house in 1931, but moved shortly after to a wooden bungalow in Coalpit Lane, where beer was served from barrels covered in damp clothes to keep it cool. It moved to its present location in 1934.
