The Builders is a wonderful, unspoilt and cosy pub perched on the hill on the outskirts of the town, in an attractive row of cottages. It may be approached along the one-way street from Chelford Road near the Legh Arms, or by foot up a cobbled path through the trees from Hollow Lane.
It is divided into two rooms by the central bar; the public bar to the left and lounge to the right. The former is characterised by a “Fisherman’s Corner” decorated by a multitude of photographs depicting the ones that didn’t get away! The Builders has its own angling club. A dart board is found tucked in another corner. Sport is shown on a television in the vault.
The subtly-lit lounge features wood panelling, comfortable seating and a collection of toby jugs. The ticking of the wall clock can sometimes be heard during lulls in the conversation. Low ceilings, pot dogs and horse brasses lend atmosphere to this community pub.
£2.70 for a pint of cask beer on Tuesday.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
