This is a snug country pub nestling under a hill just outside Congleton, close to the Neolithic Bridestones Burial Chamber and The Cloud, one of Cheshire's few peaks with outstanding views over the plain. Well worth the struggle up! The pub itself dates from 1825, and replaces an earlier building which traded as the Fairhouse. The pub has been redecorated in a much lighter theme than before.
There is a sizeable beer garden with excellent views the local countryside.
The kitchen is open five days a week and there are also bar snacks including filled baps in a "meal deal" that is available on Monday & Tuesday to fill the gap.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
