This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
Constructed in 1873 by the Great Central Railway in order to attract custom to the resort, the pier was blunderingly shortened during World War 2 in case of perceived enemy threat. Previously the pavilion hosted events then became a nightclub. The era of the likes of Giant Haystacks grappling with his wrestling opponents here is long gone. Awarded Pier of the Year 2016 by the Piers Society. Closed following sale to become fish & chip restaurant which sells one real ale.
This Restaurant serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
