Traditional village pub with lively atmosphere. Once a coaching house, the pub has been extended with Georgian and Victorian additions. There is usually a local real ale available along with a local cider served by gravity. Several rooms, one with a piano (live music on Sundays) and sofas. Emphasis on food and booking advised, especially for Sunday lunch. Take away food available. Popular with walkers and cyclists.
