Pub occupying one wing of a much larger building which began as a drover's inn in the 17th century and became a coaching inn then a large hotel before falling vacant. The lively bar hosts folk sessions on a Sunday afternoon and has a seating and dining area at the rear. Views across Loch Long can be enjoyed from the large decked patio at the back with steps leading down to a small pebbled beach. The village is a centre for wooded and shore side walks in the Argyll Forest.
