This Pub is Permanently Closed
In modern times it was formerly Whistlebinkies, then Castle Rock, then Conway's Bar & Grill. But it was an old public house dating back to at least 1878 (name unknown). Before that it was blacksmiths house and workshop during the 16th Century. It was set on three levels, with the bar on the middle level and refurbished several times. It did re-open on 1st Jan 2016 as a licensed cafe/restaurant called The Smithy, but it may just be a B&B now.
