This Pub is Closed Long Term

Closed 1/9/2025 with the future of the premises uncertain. Doubts began 1/8/2025, with the owners potentially selling the pub for demolition and redevelopment of the site. That said, no planning application has yet beeen submitted. However an application has been submitted to Historic England that may gave it a stay of execution.

History: Former Wilsons house. A long-time keg only pub with a traditional Irish flavour. Dark, and rather cramped interior, feeling all the more so with every bit of wall space decorated with concert and band posters and ephemera.

Historic Interest

1949 became a Wilsons Brewery house following merger with Walker & Homfray's Brewery, originally was a Manchester Brewery Co house.
