This village pub, though difficult to find for strangers is well worth the effort. There is always a friendly greeting when you walk in a a pleasant atmosphere. The beers are well kept and there is an excellent menu for diners. There is a separate dining area and accommodation is available as the pub is close at hand for Robin Hood Airport. The Angel won the Autumn Pub of the Season 2013 from North Notts CAMRA.
