Wetherspoon's Welkin is situated in the city centre, close to the popular Cavern Walks. Very much a café/bar rather than a traditional pub, it has two rooms: one large and L-shaped on the ground floor, and a smaller room with a dining area upstairs.Often busy with shoppers,it has recently benefitted from a refurbishment. The pub takes its name from the Old English word for the heavenly vault of the skies, and commemorates Jeremiah Horrocks, one of Liverpool's greatest sons and the Father of English Astronomy.
This Pub serves many changing beers and 3 regular beers.
