The pub takes its name from a cinema which once stood on the site, although the current building is a converted furniture store. The main room and bar area contains high tables and chairs, with some lower seating around the edge of the room and sofas close to the fireplace and is very bright and functional. To the right is a long room ideal for those dining in large groups or with families. The decor reflects the sites former use as a cinema, with metal projector reels lining some walls, but also pays homage to local shipping and avaition links - Henry Melly, the first man in Liverpool to own an aircraft, took off from the sands at Waterloo on July 7, 1911 to fly to meet friends in Manchester.
