This pub has now PERMANENTLY CLOSED and the site has been converted and is now occupied by a "One Stop" convenience store, which officially opened on December 5, 2025.

Pub Description, from July 2023:-

A long single room, local pub and restaurant on the main road in the middle of small town. Attractively and comfortably furnished, it has a dedicated central drinks area in front of the long bar, with eating areas at either end.

The bar has two handpumps, but normally only one is in use, with the second in reserve, whilst the cask ale range frequently changes through a variety of local regional brewery beers. There is a good range of home cooked meals available most of the week and there are Sunday lunches.
