A recent convert to real ale, unfortunately the freehold of this pub was sold then gutted and has remained closed every since.

Historic Interest

Locally listed:- Mid 19th century building of two storeys. Sash windows with glazing bars. Originally in stock brick, now painted white. Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. First floor central window blocked to take an inn sign racket. Modern windows on ground floor elevation, facing High Street. Two entrance doors under bracketed hoods. 18th century stable to the rear, now part of the PH.
