This Pub is Permanently Closed

Following the pub's closure in 2009 (when owned by Enterprise Inns), permission was eventually granted for demolition and replacement by 9 flats and 12 parking spaces in May 2015. The council decided to acquire the site in August 2015. However, due to legal changes which cut the rents that could be charged for social housing, the redevelopment plans were put on hold. Permission to demolish was reapplied for when it expired and the pub was finally demolished in May & June 2021.
