Central bar with two rooms traditional beams and real fire. A busy public house near the centre of the town.Popular with mainly young folk. Can get very busy weekends with customers watching sport on TV.Beer selection not very imaginative, but served in good condition. Good food at reasonable prices.Interesting features:An old well was uncovered in the lounge during a refurbishment.Accolades:Newark CAMRA Pub of the Season, Autumn 1999
