This Pub is Closed Long Term

A former coaching inn which was established in the 18th century. The Elephant has seen a lot of alterations over the years with the central bar and two adjacent rooms stripped out to form one large room with the bar now located on the right. Although not particularly wide the pub stretches back a long way and it also has a marquee for functions in the beer garden. At the weekends it doubles up as a late night venue which is well used in the absence of a nightclub in Llanidloes. The only meals currently available are on a Sunday lunchtime. Reopened in late 2021.

A September 2022 report said it was closed again.
