This is a brick built community pub occupying a corner plot, close to the school and small shopping parade. Inside, to the left is a spacious and airy lounge, whilst to the right is a carpeted dining area. The pub had an extensive refit in 2013 and offers a good menu and a relaxed drinking area in comfortable surroundings.
Historic Interest
"Opened by Shipstone's on the 1st December 1966. Still a pub, but the exterior has been rendered and painted, and interior refurbished." (Elain Harwood {Historic England}).
As at November 2017, the freehold (NT3618) was held by Punch Partnerships (PML) Limited [Reg. No. 3321199]. This was transferred to Patron Capital on the 5th March 2018.
