This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
[Description from when it was the RAFA Club] Thriving social club set in the old community of Forge Hammer, near the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal to the west of the town centre. There is a lively public bar where teams compete in the local pool league, a small comfortable lounge, a large function room with a meeting room off, both used by local groups and societies. Through the week there is Bingo (Mon eve), meetings of Cwmbran History Society (3rd Wed of the month), line dancing (Thu eve), and dancing (Sat eve). Not unexpectedly, there are many pictures of iconic war planes, former RAF personnel and memorabilia associated with the Association which are worth taking time out to study. No real ale is served but there are some bottled beers of well known brands, e.g. Shepherd Neame Spitfire or Wychwood Hobgoblin to partly compensate.
