This Pub is Permanently Closed
Remote pub, at nearly 1400 feet above sea level and allegedly the highest in Walest, nestling in the side of the Blorenge mountain. Plenty of atmosphere and character in what was once a village pub though sadly the village is no more when coal mining petered out. The Bevan's Bitter has proved popular as the house ale. Food is available in the evenings and Sunday lunch, though it would be wise to book beforehand. Good walking country, with much of historical interest given its proximity to Blaenafon's World Heritage sites.
