This is an independent self-styled gastro pub & restaurant serving delicious local produce in an idyllic country setting, only minutes away from Newport Wetlands. Weekly activities include open mic night on Wednesday, and a quiz on Thursday (8.30pm). Note there is a demand response transport (DRT) bus service which needs to be pre-booked via Newport Bus.

NEWS REPORTED IN SOUTH WALES ARGUS ON 23 FEBRUARY 2025:

The pub will close at end of service on Mother's Day on 30 March 2025. The future thereafter is uncertain.

Historic Interest

According to the late local historian, Fred Hando, in his 1958 book 'Out and About in Monmouthshire', 'The inn is known variously as the Farmers' Arms, the Dealers' Den and the Glupot'.
