Set in a remote spot in the Black Mountains. Stone-flagged floors and a wood-burning stove set the mood for a traditionally cosy country pub formed out of two workman's cottages back in the 1700s. Stunning scenery in every direction makes this pub well worth finding, particularly if you have been walking the Offa's Dyke Path which passes on the ridge-top a few hundred feet above. New ownership in mid 2015 injected new life into this charming inn, so expect to see further developments in due course. Home made pub grub available. Closed in 2023 and re-opened on 16th March 2024 under new management and with a real ale on handpump introduced and a second pump added in the summer.
