This Pub is Permanently Closed
CLOSED. Application to demolish existing garage to enable conversion to six dwellings. it was a 17th century ironstone built pub with three low beamed open planned rooms. The games room featured a pool table whilst an L-shaped bar and a lounge are to the rear. This was believed to have been the place where wool was sold on the medieval market since the granting of the 1204 Charter. Voted Town Pub of the Season Spring 2015
