A large pub on what was the Roman road Stane Street. This pub has interesting internal features and you may walk through a fireplace to reach another room with more seating. The pub provides good food and caters well for families. Outside there is an extensive garden with children's activities catered for including petanque pitches and there was a millenium beacon also in the garden. There is good value pub food and a restaurant menu here.
