One of the 'Tap' independent chain, this small bar is strategically located in a railway arch on the pedestrian route between the South Bank attractions and Waterloo railway and Underground stations. Whilst often crowded, there is ample additional outdoor covered seating at the front and another narrow fenced-off patio area to the rear. The five changing cask ales and a real cider, dispensed from taps mounted centrally on the copper bar-back, are flanked by 20 keg taps and all are prominently displayed on a blackboard above. There is usually at least one dark beer. The cider may not always comply with CAMRA’s definition of real cider. Children welcome until 6pm.
Two toilets here - one marked Urinal and the other Toilet, the latter being unisex and for mobility impaired persons.
Card payment only.
