Formerly a coaching inn, the George closed in 2016. Re-opened in November 2018 after a huge refurbishment following years of neglect. Closed for a few months then re-opened in March 2024 as a modern gastro-pub. The restaurant serves a variety of modern classic food with a large steak menu and Sunday lunches. They serve up to 4 varying guest ales often from the Greene King range. It has a pool table.
