Originally two cottages knocked together in the early 1800s, converted into a one bar layout in 1988. Food served 12-2 and 6-9 Mon-Sat (Not Thu eve), 12-6 Sun. Pensioners lunches Monday to Friday. Beer garden, patio area and children's play area. Four real ales available. Live music every Friday and Saturday night, karaoke Tuesday, open mic night last Thursday of the month. Function room available. Well known for unusual events for charity. Received a CAMRA Gold Award in April 2010. Busy on football match days. Close to Nene Valley Railway. Reputedly haunted.
