This Pub is Permanently Closed
Originally built in the 1850s, it closed as a pub in the mid 1980s. Reopened in April 1994 after eight year period of dereliction retaining its original name and being refurbished in a comfortable and sympathetic way. Sold to a pub company and eventually closed. Reopened in July 2017 as a smart, modern free house. Light and airy and completely refurbished, with pleasant patio area at rear. Several b/w photos of old Peterborough adorn the walls. Food served is from the newly-opened adjoining fish and chip shop.
