Deceptively large pub on the edge of town; there is a small front bar, a narrow room behind and a long, narrow room to the rear down some steps, which has the pool table. There are three beers, and all the handpumps are in the front bar area. Regular food and drink promotions.

House, now public house. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; roughcast front.
