Pleasant former Morrells inn overlooking the green and Oxford canal. The Licensee, Tim Bowring, has been here over 28 years. The pub is two buildings joined together, the front bar being the oldest [about 1860] and in the past was notorious for brawling canal folk. Today's customers are better behaved. The pub is said to be haunted, perhaps as a result of it being used as a mortuary after the Christmas Eve train crash of 1874.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
