A delightful old building close to the University's Whiteknights campus, 230 metres from the Shinfield Road entrance. Has good a la carte pub food, with an emphasis on high quality but good value. All dishes are homemade in house. Sells three real ales although one may be replaced with a Real Cider at times. Guests at Sure Hotel by Best Western can obtain a 10% discount on combined food and drink. Two pint jugs of ale at a reduced price is also available. A discount is a available for cash payments. The pub supports three darts teams and two pool table teams with matches every Monday to Wednesday.
