Described in the 1991 guide as: Intimate atmosphere. Comfortable pub with pictures on the walls and motor horns on the ceiling. Darts and pool. Outside drinking area. Open Monday to Saturday 12-3.30 and 6-11. That was the only time it sold real ale, TOLLY COBBOLD BITTER and TOLLY COBBOLD ORIGINAL.
