Building dates from 1746 and was constructed as a staging post. Recently refurbished. Situated on A31 on the east side of Alton. Serves varied beer selection from the Hall & Woodhouse list. Can be busy some evenings with diners, carvery, currently only Sundays, is highly rated.

Serves breakfast 10-11 30 each weekday morning.

Bank holiday food hours are 12-8
