This Pub is Closed Long Term

The pub closed on Monday 17th January 2022, but in April 2025 it was reported that £650,000 refurbishment was taking place and that the pub would reopen in early June.

A traditional pub, with timbered gables, bay windows, and ivy-covered walls was once the northern gateway to the estate of Lord Winterton. Comfortably furnished, and with a roaring fire in the Winter months, the pub has a cosy feel to it, while in the Summer months the tree-filled garden is well used.
