Reopened in July 2025 after a change in management. This entry will be updated with any changes in due course. Please use the updates link if you have information that we can include.

This town centre pub has reverted to a more traditional feel. At the front is the bar area, with a TV, bar stools and tables. From here you pass through a small area with a few sofas scattered around and an abundance of mirrors on the wall. This leads directly into a large more formal restaurant area that stretches right back to the rear of the pub. Disabled access is via the rear courtyard.

Historic Interest

The pub is a grade II listed building and has been known as the Wheatsheaf since mid-18th Century except a few years in late 1990s when it was called "ye Olde Flyer"; In 1757 it was the "Spread Eagle"
