Elegant 18th-century hotel in the scenic Tweed Valley. The comfortable lounge bar features a welcoming real fire while a flag-stoned 'sports bar' with log-burner provides a great thawing-out space for mountain bikers, walkers and anglers. A bistro area and separate restaurant provide plenty of room for diners. Meals are served all day at weekends and there is a menu for children.
The rear beer garden has been completely refurbished for 2026, and now has a large slabbed area covered with a permanent structure, the roof of which can be retracted in good weather. There are 18 large benches within the ‘beer tent’, which also doubles as an external functions such as wedding receptions. There is an additional small bar in the ‘beer tent’ - unfortunately, cask beer can only be obtained from the main bar. Outside the ‘beer tent’ there’s a large burner for occasional barbecues.
NOTE: May close earlier if quiet.
