Originally opened as a Hogshead in 1996, until taken over by Greene King in the mid 2000s but is now a free house. Large windows at the front, open directly onto the main road and there are TVs and plasma screens inside showing various sporting events. There are also pool tables and a secluded courtyard at the rear with hanging baskets. Generally quiet during the the day, the music is cranked up into the evening and on Friday and Saturday night live DJs entertain, an increasingly young clientèle. Décor is relatively modern and largely nondescript. Two pool tables and a dartboard are provided and Sky TV shows live sport at most times of day. Food is available until 9pm.
