FEB 2025 - WARNING: The handpump is serving a Pilot Beer labelled “Pours like cask, fresh from the keg” from a sealed keg. Only low CO2 pressure is applied, so it doesn't taste fizzy. Although it’s the same live beer that may also be put in casks CAMRA does not consider this to be Real Ale, as gas is applied above atmospheric pressure, and does not endorse it being served through a handpump.

OCT 2024 - One handpump installed so now selling real ale, Pilot Stout being the first available.

AUG 2024 - Reopened as the False Widow. Sister pub to Mother Superior and Powder Room. A few mainstream keg beers but mostly local beers from Pilot, Newbarns, Campervan, Vault City, etc
