Originally a typical 50's estate pub called the Cody Tree, with a separate public bar, lounge and hatch for off sales. The Hawley Arms has now all been knocked through with a bright and airy feel. There is a pool table and darts area as well as a selection of other games.
Bingo on Tuesday night, a quiz on Wednesday and a disco or live music on some Saturday evenings. No food is served, but you are welcome to order a take away to accompany your drinks.
Historic Interest
Originally called the Cody Tree, recalling the aeroplane trials made at the beginning of the century by Colonel S F Cody on nearby Farnborough Common. Franklin Cody took off from Farnborough Common before crash landing in a clump of trees, after being hit by a gust of wind.
